Did NOT come through as promied

I received a reasonable quote from John. He proceeded to tell me that all of the "other" companies would quote me less, try and up-sell, leave my car sitting, ect ect ect. He told me they pride themselves on A+ customer service. Our verbal deal was my car was to be picked up mon/tue and dropped to me thurs/fri. Sounded fantastic! The contract stated 1-10 day pickup window, which he ASSURED me to disregard, "it's just standard, we'll get it to you by the end of the week." Silly me right?!?! When they never contacted me mon/tues for pickup details I began to call. Everyone was always on the other line. I finally spoke to John this morning who assured me he would make it happen and call me before he left today. Guess what, he's gone and no phone call. I cancelled my order and went with someone who's willing to put their keyboard where there mouth is and write our agreed details out- lesson to me. Lesson to John- don't undersell your loads to hook a customer and then ask for more money, which you then still cannot come through on- you're just like the other guys you warned me about.

This customers account of what transpired is strangely different than what really happened! Her car was going from Glens Falls NY to South Shore KY. This is NOT a common run for any carrier. We sent her a price quote which she DID NOT WANT TO PAY! We warned her the route was not common therefore she needed to give it extra time for pickup and pay what we quoted her. She did not want to hear it. So we offered to post her vehicle for what SHE wanted to pay and try and get it moved BUT if it didn't happen she needed to add more money to the carrier NOT Rite Way. She agreed, but when the time came she refused and continued to call our office every hour and carry on and pretend we never told her the above.The vehicle was ready for pickup on Oct 1st and because it did not happen on the 1st or the 2nd she flipped out, we told her to add more money to the carrier and we reminded her of what our original price quote was....... she forgot that part! We price vehicles they way we do for a reason, that's because it's what WE do for a living. We know what the true costs are and when it will take extra time due to the location of the vehicle. All of our calls are taped because people often forget what was said and by whom.She is now posted with another broker for an outrageous amount, had she listened to us from the beginning she would have saved money.
