Please don't use this guy or the company he says he works for. After he finished telling me how how experienced and professional he was, how all the other carriers and brokers are dishonest, and that he would guarantee me a good price and a smooth shipping transaction...I called him back and contracted with him to ship my car. He assured me he would post it that day and that it would get picked up and be on it's way by the weekend. (I got an email that afternoon that my credit card was charged the $150 broker fee - to Michael Prestia.) Long story short, I call him the next Tues...I ask, what's going on? He says car will be picked up this week...OK fine. Another week goes by and I heard nothing back from Mike. After making multiple phone calls and leaving many messages he finally returned my calls to say that the car was going to be picked up and on the way...OK fine. 5 days later the "transporter" calls me and says the car will be delivered to me in 2 more days (OK fine) and that the price is $1000 due upon delivery...WHAT?? I told the driver the shipping price I was quoted was $950 total...$150 to Michael Prestia for his expert work as a dispatcher and $800 to ship the car, that's it. I know the driver was caught in the middle of all this because he said the only way he picked up the car was because it was posted on Dispatch for $1000. So, I called Mike back again and again to find out what's going on. He finally called me back and said he emailed me, which I never received, a new shipping order for the increased price and proceeded to tell me that it NEVER would have gotten picked up if he didn't do that and that I was an idiot for thinking that it would get shipped for that price...so he LIED from the beginning saying he could get it done for the lower price just to get my deposit and then upped the shipping cost to me, without telling me, to get it shipped. NOT good business in my book. The shipper was professional and courteous and apologized for the situation. It was not his fault and I have great things to say about Guyett Transport who actually shipped my car. The "broker" name on my paperwork was "Superior Quality Inc" so he is using another company to broker through as well...please don't use this guy.
