Following my original negative review posted to this site, I was promptly contacted by Brian Cardozo, President & CEO of Reliable Car Transportation. He approached me in a calm, professional manner, wanting to learn more about my experience with his company. I reiterated the content of my review and discussed the chain of events in more detail.

Brian explained that he is a small business owner and seemed to be genuinely concerned about my experience, especially with my foul treatment by his staff. He apologized for my hassle and indicated that he would discuss the situation with his staff. Brian called back later to offer a refund of my deposit, as well as the tip paid to the driver, who arrived unexpectedly early for my delivery.

As someone who also runs a small business, I know that bad situations happen – certainly when multiple people and parties are involved in a transaction like this. What counts most is the effort you take to fix things for your customer. While my initial frustration with Reliable caused me to form a poor opinion of their company, my subsequent interactions with the owner have impressed me enough to consider my experience more as a series of unintentional missteps, rather than a complete failure that some should make potential customers look to other carriers. In the end, my car was delivered safely and without damage, which was my hope at the outset.
