Stay Away from this Company!

This company is a total scam - STAY AWAY!

Their quotes are great (I can almost guarantee that they'll be the best quote you'll get, but it isn't worth it!) because there is absolutlely no accountability when they don't follow through on their end of the contract.Once you pay your money, good luck ever hearing from them again. They would only answer my calls as long as I used a different phone number each time - they must've thought I was another potential victim...Once you are able to get in touch with someone, they'll never answer a call from that phone again. If you are lucky enough to get through to a person, they will "have to transfer you to dispatch/customer service since they are the people who handle this". At that point you're either disconnected or you are dumped into their voicemail system and forced to leave a message to which you'll never get a response. I did not get a call from them at any point in the process attempting to fix the situation nor did I ever get an apology for the inconvenience. The only thing they gave me were empty promises or complete lies about why they couldn't get there. They even told me that "the truck broke down." Apparently, this operation has only one truck? (BS, they're brokers - I doubt that they even have a truck. They contract through other truckers to ship your car...) The truth is, they bid the job too low and, as gas prices went up, they couldn't get anyone to take the contract. I'm an engineer - if I bid the job too low, I have to suffer the losses. Apparently that only works in the professional sector because these guys are certainly not professionals and there was absolutely no attempt to uphold their end of the contract...

Thanks for making my move across the country as difficult as possible. Instead of my car "beating me there" (yeah, they said that they would have to be careful so that didn't happen...pfft), I was stuck 2500 miles away from my car for more than a month until a real carrier could clean up their mess. Thanks to the HR department at my new job, they DID refund the $150 - too bad they can't refund the wasted time and headaches they caused by screwing up my first few weeks in Charlotte!

Once again, avoid everything about this company. If they send you a bid - throw it away. If they call you - don't answer it. They're the lowest price for a reason. They don't seem to understand that winning a bid is not just quoting the lowest price - I guess they didn't read the section that says they're supposed to provide a service for that money, too.

They're Crooks - Period.

UPDATE

I just contacted the HR department of my new company and it seems that (un)Reliable didn't actually refund the deposit as promised. After reneging on the contract and making my life miserable for a month, they informed my company that they would refund the $150 deposit since...well, they didn't actually provide any type of service. However, after not aplogizing and begrudgingly agreeing to refund their undeserved fee, they balked.

Hmm, this seems to be the M.O. of this company - promising to do something and then never following through on their word.

I think I'd push my vehicle across the country before I'd deal with these guys...at least that way you'll have your car when you need it and you get their same level of service free of charge.
