Booked my move of my HHGs to Hawaii through a mover who suggested that I use Regal for taking my [3] cars to the Port of Oakland. I contacted "Ronnie" who informed that he could do the job, so I booked the carriage for my cars and paid him $3,150. When I asked Ronnie in what role does Regal play in my carriage of my cars, he said that Regal is only a broker - fine. When I informed Ronnie that I wanted to declare a value on my three cars instead of [blinding] accepting the actual carrier's limitation, he became very rude and abusive and refused to provide me the information OR afford me the opportunity to declare a value on my cars (please note, most carriers only afford a standard limitation of liability of about 50 cents per pound and I was shipping 2 Mercedes and a Ford - I don't think agreeing to a few thousand dollars maximum recovery for damaging or failing to deliver an $80K and a $125K automobile is acceptable). Ronnie informed me that he had been in business for over 8 yrs and had never has any problem - fine, but there is always the first time and I did not want it to be me! Plus I don't care how long you have been in business - and proceeded to tell me he would prefer for me to take my business else where [I believe because he couldn't bully me because he could not answer a simple question OR afford me my rights as the owner of the cargo to declare a value as required by law] Do not use this company - they appear to operate on a very shady area of integrity and honesty.
