Warning long but worth it: I was offered $685 to transport my car by a different company, but Red Carpet matched the offer and I went with them on May 11th because they had MORE but equally positive reviews on this website. I was told that there are several trucks coming out of the area I requested and I should have no problems getting a truck for May 30th-June 1st, June 1st being the last day I would be in town and able to ship the car. Nobody answered the phone May 30th, although a holiday, but I was expecting the possibility of the truck and no way to confirm it. May 31st I was told that I shouldn't get concerned until the afternoon of June 1st as not having a truck secured was common and often not confirmed until the day of.

Then came June 1st.... the day that I told them was the ABSOLUTE last day that I could have my car picked up. The very FIRST thing I was told by the person that answered the phone, not the person I had been conducting business with (Tonya), was that having my price matched was no fault of the company's. Why start off the conversation with the blame game? She then proceeded to say that they automatically take $200 as a deposit (which I was aware of) and because I was only offering $485 to the driver, the drivers were passing on my car. WHY was this the first day that I was hearing this?? If I had known that $485 would NOT be a good deal for the driver, there's no way I would have agreed to it but I had no reason not to trust that it was a comparable price. I could have easily gone to another company that had MORE and BETTER reviews, paid a cheaper deposit so that more could go to the driver, even paid $900 total to ensure my car would be picked up and delivered when I needed it, but I was assured by Tonya that everything would be okay even on May 31st. Even someone at her OWN company informed me that I should have been told this in advance and that it was clearly the reason why I had no truck for my car and drivers were passing on the offer.

I don't write reviews often but clearly this situation has prompted me to steer others to several of the other companies available to you. Remember: if it's too good to be true, it probably is! Make SURE that the price being offered to the driver is comparable or you will be sitting around waiting for a truck til the cows come home!

Elizabeth, I do apologize that we were not able to move your vehicle in the alotted amount of time we were given. When we tried to accomodate you by matching another companies quote, I informed you that we would match the rate to try and save you money however the rate was very low and we may have trouble finding a carrier. That happened to be the case and again I do apologize.
