Lied, Late & Overcharged

This is the second time shipping a Porsche. The first time went excellent with a very poorly rated company on this site. After doing my homework this time, I chose Red Carpet from their excellent overall reviews. Rich was extremely helpful, very professional, and seemed to know the business. Once I paid, that stopped. The truck driver they chose was 3+ days late after promising he would be there each day. Excuse after excuse. When he did arrive, he said the car would not make it up his transport truck (bull) and forced me to pay another $80 so I could contract a flatbed tow truck to load up the car. I was 2000 miles away and calling the shots when this was NOT my job. Then, my car disappeared from the radar and nobody new where it went. A week went buy and finally Rich was able to get the original sub-contract driver to come clean. My car made it to another truck (and driver) and would be a few more days. I told them to deliver any time BUT a 2 hour window on Friday. That it when it was dumped and left. Rich assured me the overcharge on my credit card would be taken care of - HA! I disputed it and they lied and made it stick. I overpaid $185 including an unneccessary tow bill. I will NEVER do business with Red Carpet again. I had a cheaper quote but Rich smooth talked me into a good screwing. What comes around goes around Rich - good luck with that. Buyer beware.

Bob, I just looked into this and it appears that the broker fee that we agreed on of $189 was charged to you. The additional charges that the driver charged to you to transport your inoperable car was paid to the driver at delivery. Those extra charges for the flat bed truck, which you gave the green light to the driver, was passed through to you to make sure your porsche was loaded properly without damage. I apologize for the frustration, but when shipping an inoperable vehicle, there can be instances where extra equipment is needed to load and unload the vehicle. My apologies if you think Rich mislead you in anyway. Rich is no longer a part of our company, but if you wish you discuss this any further, please call me anytime. Thanks, Tony Quinn. 602-438-4644
