We received numerous quotes to move our son's car home to NY from CO after a college intership. We chose Red Carpet because it was highly rated and gave us a competitive quote (not the lowest but close). We were told that the contract should be accepted by a carrier within 1-7 days. At 7 days, we received a call that someone was willing to take it but wanted an extra $150. We said "no thanks" since it was an old car and we didn't want to spend almost a thousand dollars to get it home- it's not worth that. We were told that that was okay and we could wait for someone else to take the contract. We waited over a week over Thanksgiving without hearing anything from Red Carpet . I finally called and asked why it had been 16 days since we signed our contract and still no pickup. Our contract had been cancelled due to an "internal screw-up". Julie was very apologetic and immediately went to work on it. A carrier took the contract within a day or so and the car was picked up in another 2 days. It arrived here quickly with no problems. I was upset that our contract was cancelled by accident and I never heard anything from the company all the days we were waiting for it to be picked up. However, I think Julie and Red Carpet did the right thing when the error was discovered. So many places will say something like "Oh well" or "Too bad" when something like this happens. Red Carpet not only apologized but they DID make it right and we got our car after they really worked to rectify the problem.

It is unfortunate that the order was mistakenly canceled. It is very rare that we encounter issues such as this, and that is why we worked so fast to make it right for you. Customer service is obviously our number one priority which is why this was so quickly resolved once it was brought to our attention.
