Non performance of contract

Company was selected because of reviews. Car was delivered to Long Beach CA by Matson shipping. No problems. First transport company scheduled to pick up the car was not able to because Red Carpet had not provided Matson the required paperwork. After repeated calls, I was told Matson had the paperwork and an other carrier would be handling the transportation (Tribal Tiger). Ms Askelson explained she was having family medical problems but would continue to work with me. The driver for Tribal Tiger arrived to pick up the car and again the paperwork was not available. The driver waited for two hours for Red Carpet to provide the paperwork without any luck. I was only aware of this because the people at Tribal Tiger called me. Ms Askelson was not available by phone. At this point I began repeated phone calls to Red Carpet without any return calls. If it were not for Tribal contacting me I would not have known what was happening with the car. After paying $300 dollars in storage fees to Matson shipping, because Red Carpet had apparently decided to no longer honor their contract, I was able to get the car picked up and delivered. The $1929 included $1279 for Red Carpet. They conducted a nice scam. If I had booked with Matson direct I could have saved a lot of trouble and not been out over $5000 with the cost of a rental car and the plain tickets to try and get the car.
USE THESE PEOPLE AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you are shipping from Hawaii I recommend you book with Matson on your own. DO NOT USE RED CARPET.

Please disregard this review, as it was a reviewfrom back in 2008 that unfortunately has resurfaced. I contacted Andy at Transport Reviews to see if there was anything he could do to remove it, but unfortunately he can't. He knows that it's a review from 2 years ago, but there's nothing he can do to remove it.
