Drive 6 days with two cats or ship the car and fly? If you time it right, the car shows up the DAY after you land and you can get to work.

Everything worked out perfectly. The driver showed up a day early, which made us scramble, but he was totally helpful, getting as close to us as he could (we lived in the city) and making sure we knew exactly where he was. The car was inspected before it was loaded, the driver was friendly and informative. He understood we wouldn't be at the destination until Monday night, late late, and showed up Tuesday at about noon 'So we didn't have to get up too early.'

The car was dusty, as expected, but in perfect shape.

And the cats didn't kill anyone!
