Good communication but overall experience below expectations

I am rating my overall experience. As a broker, Jerry from Red Carpet was a very nice and responsive person. However, it's important for customers to be aware of what could happen. As a service provider myself, I have to stand by what my sub-contractors do and how I respond to the situation.

The carrier was TERRIBLE. The bid clearly stated I needed door to door service as I did not have transportation (this is why I needed to have the car transported in the first place!). The driver's wife calls and says he can't drive into the metro area because he has a warning from the police. Really? I bent over backwards and had to get a ride to meet this guy at two different locations. He was late twice and ended up meeting him really late in a very uncomfortable place.

Jerry was nice in getting on the phone and yelling at the driver and his son. However, he asked me to try to negotiate money from the driver. I don't believe this was the proper response. Again, this was a sub-contractor but my deal was with red carpet, not with this driver.

Next time, I suggest Red Carpet implement measures to address situations like these. Jerry did all he could, but it just wasn't enough. There was no door to door service, and the overall experience was way below expectations. I am giving credit to Jerry's curteousnesss and this is why my rating is average.
