This is a review that is more about the truck carrier than Red Carpet, however because they are responsible for selecting them, it does reflect upon their judgment in choosing a company to transport cars. I have shipped several cars cross-country so I am very familar with the process and this by far was the worst. I received at quote of $860 for a June 4th pickup date. When the driver was in transit, he called and wanted an additional $50 if I wanted a pickup on the 4th. I agreed, wanting the car to be picked up sooner rather than later. Well, it did not happen as promised and the driver finally showed up on the 6th of June!! Two days late, and I felt gouged out of $50, actually $25 because Grant was gracious enough to forfeit half, taken off his commission to make this deal. The delivery was supposed to take place on the 9th or 10th, I actually received delivery late on June 11th and to my surprise the driver wanted another $150 on top of the $710 agreed upon price because there were items in the car which I had no knowledge of. When this discovery took placed in Arizona I should have received a phone call stating that there would additional charges if I wanted transport, I DID NOT GET A CALL. I refused to pay the $150 and after an hour of agrument, I finally gave him $40 additional to the original agreed $710 C.O.D. DO NOT use HIS Transport Carrier, and I am very dissapointed in Red Carpet for selecting this carrier. There is one positive, Grant was excellent in his attention to provide me good customer service under these circumstances.

Donald, thank you for your honest review. I am sorry about the experience you had with the carrier. The additional items in the car should have been addressed by the carrier at the time of pick up not delivery. We only use highly rated carriers and at the time H.I.S. Transport had a rating of 97%. It was my understanding that the carrier had some mechanical issues with the truck that delayed your pick up by a couple days and unfortunately these mishaps happen in the transport industry. H.I.S. Transport did try and deliver your car the expected 2 days late, but due to it being late at night you asked to push the delivery into the next day, which they said was fine. When the car wasn't delivered that day I never received a call from you. I was unaware of many of these mishaps until I called to see how the delivery went and you informed me you still didn't have the car. At that point I called the carrier and confirmed they would be delivering that evening. I have however notified my dispatch team of your experience with H.I.S. Transport and they will be taking the appropriated action. Moving forward I will do a better job of staying in contact with my carriers to help address delays like these as they arise. Thank you again for your honest review. -Grant
