To let you know, this is my first ever experience with a car carrier, so I had no idea what to expect.

Pros: Jerry was knowledgeable without being condescending, fun, kind, and serviceable in every way when you talk to him. He is the ideal salesman when you talk to him, the kind that you feel so comfortable with because he's so honest and upfront and genuinely nice. Also, even though I gave them a window of time that they could pick up my car, I was excited to discover that they could pick it up on the day that was the most ideal for me. And, also, even though the trucking company had a slight hitch and broke down, they still delivered my car in just 4 days! From Salt Lake to the middle of Pennsylvania! I was super impressed with their speed, and not only that but my car was undamaged and not even that dirty.

Oh, and did I mention the super-thorough inspection the trucking company gave? It was the most detailed car inspection I have ever seen in my life.

Cons: I loved having Jerry, buuuut ... I'm thinking he needs a secretary. If my e-mail or call wasn't of vital importance for their side of the transaction, he wouldn't respond in a timely manner. Red Carpet didn't even call me to let me know they'd found someone to take my car, until I finally called them, of course, 3 days before my ready date. (The order had been completed several weeks earlier.) They magically seemed to find someone once I, myself, called to check on my order, and I'm thinking, really? Had you just forgotten about me? I'm sure it was merely a slip-up, but there are also other instances when he failed to call/e-mail me back. However, I will point out that for anything of immediate importance, such as, "who do I write the check to? And how much was it supposed to be, again?" he'd call back pretty quickly. But stuff like, "Can you e-mail me an official receipt so that I can get reimbursed from my employer?" No response. So I'm thinking he needs a secretary to handle his small stuff. Especially since he is otherwise the BEST.

Lastly, I was a little disappointed to be charged an extra $48 over the quote. Jerry did give me the option of refusing that carrier, but he didn't say whether any other company would be able to do it without charging extra like that. So I paid the $48 but I'm a little bummed that their quotes aren't a little more true to form. Nobody likes extra charges. And I'm thinking, dude, I can't be that far out of people's way... I'm in Salt Lake City, right next to the crossing of 2 major interstates. It's not like I lived in Burley, Idaho, know what I mean? I hate to imagine what extra charges the poor dude in Burley, ID might have to pay.
