Very Unhappy With Service

For the most part, my issues are with the carrier they contracted to transport my car. However, they were no help with my issues. I paid far more ($200-300) more than some of the other quotes I received from other companies because I read positive reviews and assumed that my car would arrive safe, on time, and intact. I would have been better off saving my money.

I gave Tony the dates I needed for pick-up and drop-off. There was a wide window of available dates, I just needed to make sure that my car did not arrive before I did, so that I would be able to pick it up. The first carrier he arranged would only drop my car off the weekend before I arrived, and I would have to pay for storage over the weekend. I told him that this would not work, and he did arrange another carrier (who wanted to pick my car up the same day that he told me about them). I rushed to get my car ready for transport, and it was picked up later that day than anticipated, but the pick-up was fine.

My car did not arrive the day that Tony told me, and I contacted him to ask about it. He said he would contact the driver and the company (APA 73), but he never got any information for me. I finally got in touch myself, and was told it wouldn't be there until 3 days later. Through the whole drop-off process, Red Carpet was no help in getting information or taking care with any of the communications.

When my car arrived, it was very late at night and I did not notice that my side view mirror was broken in the transport (it looked like the mirror had been popped in, not broken). I contacted APA 73 (as detailed in my review of them) to see if there was anything they could do and was yelled at, accused of breaking my own car, and threatened. When I contacted Tony about it, he never responded at all.

I will definitely check my car far more closely next time before signing, but I will also be sure never to use Red Carpet again. I could have put the extra money I paid for their allegedly excellent customer service into replacing my side view mirror.
