I would consider these auto transport companies and hauling/carrier companies separate since they are 2 different entities in all respects.

I took the quote form several transport companies 60 days earlier than the pick up date, and received competitive quotes as well. I did not lock in to any one immediately as I thought there is more time to do that and the dates may change as well. 2 weeks before the pick up date I reached out to the shortlisted transporters, to my surprise they increased their rates by $200+, some wants me to pay them right away, even before a date and driver is confirmed.

Rapid response gave me a better quote than I received 60 days early, in fact I negotiated with them and they agreed and listed my car at a reduced price. They did not ask me to pay upfront but 2/3 days before the pick up availability I received a call and told that a carrier and driver is available to pick up on the same date and confirm it by paying the transport agent fees and pay the rest at the time of delivery. I did the same driver picked up the car on the same date and delivered it 2 days earlier than the promised date.

Now the carrier Master transline, you can't expect a real nice experience from most of the truck drivers.
