BROKEN PROMISES, DELAYED SHIPMENT, DAMAGED CAR, UNRESPONSIVE BROKER. When I spoke to Mark last Saturday, he told me he had a truck going from Northern California to Colorado on Monday. In reliance on that pick-up date, I gave him my credit card. The truck didn't come on Monday (but my credit card was charged.) I called and asked for information about the pickup date. He gave me two numbers, for the driver and dispatcher. Clearly I was on my own, as he had my money. The dispatcher didn't answer. Finally got through to the driver, who was unintelligible, except I heard him say "Thursday." I called Mark back to find out what happened to Monday. No answer, until I used another number with another area code. Then he picked right up; he clearly was dodging my calls. They then assured me the truck would pick up the car on Wednesday. The truck arrived on Thursday. The "Five Star Driver" damaged the wheel rims trying to pull from the curb. This was a BRAND NEW CAR which the driver damaged before he even got it on his truck. The four-day delay in shipping from what Mark promised means the truck will not arrive until next Tuesday, five days after I was told it would be there, and will require my son to miss class to pick up the delayed vehicle. Everything about Protected Auto Carriers has been a nightmare. The false promises, the handing off of responsibility for the shipment to me rather than assuring that it was all taken care of, and then the DAMAGE TO MY NEW VEHICLE caused by the driver. I can only hope and pray that the vehicle arrives at its destination. Given the driver's inability to move the car two feet before damaging it, I am resorting to prayer. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. STAY AWAY FROM MARK. THERE ARE FAR BETTER AND RELIABLE COMPANIES OUT THERE.
