My contract said the broker fee, $175, would not be charged till a driver was assigned. It was charged on the day the car became available a good two weeks before a the driver was assigned. At which time I was told by John Anthony that he couldn't get a driver at the contracted price so I would have to pay an extra $200 to the driver. He acknowledged that this was bad and agreed to split his fee and return $90 to me. It has been two months and I have not received anything; he doesn't return my calls.
I was told "door to door delivery." My friend, who was taking care of the car for me, was given a driver"s name and a date of pick up. When he didn't hear from the driver he called the number given him by John. That driver said he couldn't do it. Two days later another driver called and said that my friends should meet him at a church parking lot with the car between 5-6 PM. After 3 hours wait they left for home at 7 PM. They got a call from the driver to meet him at 11 PM at the church or they could wait for another driver to be assigned. They went.
At the other end the call came after 9:30 PM to meet the truck at another parking lot. Since we had his money we insisted the pick up wait till morning.
Progressive reneged on every aspect of our contract.
