I was contacted by a number of companies when I put in a request for a quote to move my Car from Columbus, Ohio to Los Angeles, California. All of them seemed very motivated, offered lots of advice on what to look for in a moving company... many even resorted to scare tactics to try to ward me off of their competitors. I won't go into the details of what the scare tactics were but lets say anyone with high pressure tactics was crossed off my list from the start. Jim at Pro Moving Solutions was very straight forward and pleasant to talk to on the phone. I was going to be arriving in Los Angeles on June 1st so he arranged to have my car picked up around the 23th of May and delivered on or a few days after June 1st. A few days after we closed the deal Jim called me with the dispatcher and drivers names and number and said they would be getting in touch with me to pick up my car. I was a little surprised when they called a few days early but it ended up working out fine. I made arrangements to meet the driver at a nearby shopping center parking lot as I live in a pretty tight community and didn't want to burden the driver with a difficult drive through my neighborhood with a large Semi-Truck. The truck was an older model but overall appeared to be well maintained. The driver was kind and courteous and put up with my close inspection of the loading of my car. I got a call from the dispatcher about 5 days before the scheduled delivery date and he said its working out that they were going to be in LA earlier than scheduled... I told him that I wasn't going to be there until the 1st and he asked if it was okay to make arrangements for it to be stored until I got there. At first I was a little freaked by this as one of the scare tactics used by other companies was nightmare stories about extra charges of storage when drop off dates get messed up. I said it was okay to store it but that I wasn't going to pay any extra money for storage... He said it wouldn't be a problem and gave me the address of the storage facility. It turned out to be a body shop not far from my scheduled drop off point. I arrived on Monday to pickup my car and everything worked out great. The only complaint I had was the car was a little dirty on the outside but that was quickly fixed by a car wash. If things don't work out for me out in LA and I end up shipping my car back to Ohio, I won't hesitate to contact Jim for the job. Earlier than promised service!!! Thank you Pro Moving Solutions for a great job on getting my car across the states!
