As an update to my post of a couple of months ago...Well, it just kept getting worse. Prodigy would not answer my calls, and Nationwide Auto Transport, who were the ones we had contracted with, were no help at all. Though they did answer their phone, they told me they could do nothing at all because they couldn't contact the driver--we just had to wait. I threatened to file a Police report, they really didn't seem to care. After daily phone calls to them and Prodigy I realized they were going to do nothing. I reported them to everyone I could think of, and they then began calling us every 2-3 days and saying the truck would be to us tomorrow. So, I would wait ALL day, and no truck. Then I would call Nationwide and they would say, "Oh, they ran into weather, traffic, mechanical problems, etc. " It was always a new excuse. They would not tell me where specifically the truck was, but strung me along for weeeks telling me it would arrive tomorrow. When 6 weeks finally came, the driver actually called us, and said he would be here Tonite--he was in NM. Well, it took him 4 days to get from there to Phoenix, and then 2-3 more days to get to Las Vegas. We met him in a Costco parking lot, at 10:00 at night. It was a nightmare getting it unloaded--he said his ramps had been stolen, and it took him 45 nerve racking minutes watching him rig up ramps with anything he could find to stuff under the car tires. During this process, he trashed the front fender. We were very upset, and then upon inspection, found the worstXXXroof damage. When we pointed it out, he said, "wasn't that already there?" They had dropped the top ramp of the carrier on top of the roof of our car!! The only good thing that happened was that Kirk at Prodigy didn't answer his phone so the driver didn't argue with us when we refused to pay the $900. He told us to work it out with them and their insurance. Prodigy has been impossible to deal with and we are at an impass right now. We have now filed a claim with our own insurance. If they will not pay, then we will sue Prodigy and Nationwide Auto Transport. The only thing we did right was to not pay the driver the $900.
