I used Pride shipping in September to bring my stepson's car from TX to CA. The process was almost seamless. The price was reasonable, the contact at pride was professional, and the driver was fine. I don't know what happened between September and January - what a difference 4 months makes!!! We decided to try to use them again in January to send the car back to TX. Unfortunately, I also decided to see if we could compare prices and I used another website that bombarded my email and phone with messages from different brokerages. I don't remember the name of the website, but don't use those kinds of services. Getting back to Pride, I initially had contact with someone called Chris, who emailed me a price. We went back and forth, but weren't ready to go right then, but about a week later I tried to get back in touch with Chris and got no response by text, nobody answered the phone at the company, and nothing by email. I then started getting emails from Gabby at Pride, as if I had never received a quote. Then I received emails from Victoria at Pride. What the hell is going on at that company. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing!! I started communicating with Gabby, she assured me that she could get our car transported for a price, which we agreed to. I signed the paperwork and gave her our credit card. I thought we were ready to go. The day before the car was supposed to be picked up she told me that the driver's truck was having some engine issues and they needed to find another driver. "Unfortunately", they had to TRIPLE the price of the agreed-upon contracted price. I said that's ok,we aren't in a rush. We'll just wait for the original driver to get his truck fixed. Apparently, that wasn't an option. Not when they had me where they wanted me. A day before the car was supposed to be picked up and triple the price hanging in the balance. Fricken scammers!! After the flood of emails, calls, and texts that I had received from the different sham, scam car transport broker companies who all used the same tactics, I was totally frustrated and disillusioned. I just drove the car the Dallas from CA, and actually had a very nice road trip.
