Horrible customer service

HORRIBLE customer service. We booked a couple of weeks ago to have our car shipped on July 25, for a contracted price of $850, as we are leaving to move across the country on July 26. The morning it’s supposed to be picked up, we wake up to a text that the driver they had booked has Covid and can’t pick up the car, but they’ll search for a replacement. Fine. A few hours later we get a text that they could outsource the shipment and it would be DOUBLE what the price was in the contract - $1,600. We said absolutely not, they need to cover the difference. After speaking with management they offered to cover $200 of the difference. Not acceptable. We understand the driver getting Covid isn’t their fault, but it’s also not our problem. If you contract for a service, you expect the service to be performed or an appropriate backup to be found. This felt entirely like a bait-and-switch situation. Now we are having to drive two cars across the country because they could not uphold their end of the contract. Everybody we spoke with was useless, but I guess we should’ve know what to expect when they couldn’t even figure out how to send us a payment link. I’m honestly not sure how they have good reviews, but I would recommend using ANYONE ELSE you possibly can find. If I could give them zero stars I absolutely would. Thank you Pride Car Shipping for making an already stressful time even worse
