Expensive nightmare

When I called to confirm the agreed upon scheduled pickup ..( which had been arranged 3 months earlier with a quote of $595 which was the average quote given by 10 transport companies) , I was told that they were trying to locate the secured driver..and 24 hours later learned that he was in the hospital and that another driver would be found. I was literally en route to the airport / left my keys with friend who served as conduit when they called to say that they had a replacement driver. Although I was thrilled that they were able to find a replacement driver and that my car would be delivered 48 hours later than promised delivery, I was very displeased that the original $595 contract turned into $1,300. Expensive nightmare. They at least should have been up front about the potential for cost change during initial discussion of replacement driver as I could have opted to explore alternative means on my own.
