Ths is the first time in my life that I have ever needed to have a vehicle transported. I went online looking for information and price quotations. I was contacted with price quotes from approxmiately 10 different carriers.

I received a price quote from Pride Auto Transport almost immediately. The quotes I received from other carriers ranged from $525 to $600. There was one low-ball quote that was lower than that but with the caveat that there was no guarantee on the schedule. Pride was the lowest bid that promised they could meet my scheduling criteria at both ends.

We were moving out of state so I needed to have the vehicle picked up as close to, but no later than our move date. And I needed it have it arrive as close to, but AFTER our arrival date at our new location. With these specific needs in mind, I did not count on the online form to communicate these details completely. I supplemented that online form with a couple of e-mail exchanges just to make sure they understood my scheduling needs at both ends of the move. They said that they could accomodate my needs. And ultimately, I picked Pride because I found some good reviews online.

I was nervous going into this since I had heard that there are a lot of scammers in this business. And I was particularly nervous about going with the low bid. But I decided to proceed.

I kept checking the online link to my order waiting to see if a driver had been assigned. I was nervous as I kept checking and didn't see one assigned yet and the move date was getting close. I contacted Price and told them that I wanted to see this confirmation ASAP. I checked the next day and I was a carrier name and phone number. I called that number and they gave me the name of the actual driver. I called him and confirmed the schedule. He called me again the day of the pickup to confirm and then he arrived on time.

He had to transport the vehicle through a torrential downpour and with snow in the mountain passes. I expected that this may cause a delay in the delivery. The driver called me the evening that he had planned to deliver it and told me that he'd be here the next morning. He arrived as promised.

I am satisfied that I got good service for the best price. I would have preferred better updates on the assignment of the driver and schedduled initiated by Pride. But then I think I was more anxious about the process and a higher maintenance customer than others. My suggestion to any of you who order this type of service from Pride or anyone else is to take the inititative and stay in regular communication. You can't count on them to baby you through the process

Best wishes to you as you have your vehicle moved. Get a bid from Pride Auto Transport and give them your full consideration.
