"GO !@#$ YOURSELF!" Thats what I was told by this great company...in specific Osvaldo. These were his words when I requested my deposit back after I felt they had not complied with their end of the deal. Needed to transport my car back to LA prior to reporting to my new assignment in Korea. I have been in the Army for over 18yrs. This guy "Osvaldo" stated that his company supports the troops so he gives me a discount. Total cost was to be $695 with $195 upfront deposit. I gave it to him. Being in the military I am on a schedule and do not have time for mistakes so as always I followed up with Osvaldo every week to see when my car would actually be booked. I entered into agreement on 8 Nov 2010 with a requested pick up of 1 Dec 2010, more than enough time for the "experts" to do their job. Well, a week went by and I called and I was told its to early. Another week passed and still no contact from a tranporter so I called Osvaldo again, by now it was the 22nd of Nov heading into thanksgiving weekend. When I asked Osvaldo why its taking so long to have a transporter located, he told me that the transporters are getting their loads together and that because of the holiday it was going to take sometime. I told him I don't have the time to wait and that I wanted my money back because they did not deliver on the service they say they would. He responded with, "your not getting your money back and go !@#$ yourself!" and hung up!! Needless to say that shocked me but of course I called back and after a while he answered and I requested to speak to the owner. I spoke to a woman that claimed to be the owner but unfortunately I cannot recall her name. After much discussion she still expected me to do business with her company even after her employee told me to "GO !@#$ Myself!" I called back and spoke to Osvaldo, he did not apologize and went on to explain to me that in his line of business, he is not required to cater to a customer, he has no need to be polite and that his industry is not like the military where he needs to say yes sir, no sir! I had to restrain myself from driving 4 hours up to Virginia and seeing if he would have the same attitude in person, if I only had more time. Needless to say I had my vehicle shipped on time by another company that did not require any deposit, all COD. Prestige kept my deposit.
