Hello Everyone,
I don't post complaints online (this is my first) but I have never seen such shady business from a seemingly legitimate company. Trust me people, do NOT use these guys as they will lure you with prices and then hike them up. They will also KEEP your deposit and never return it if they cannot honor the price.

I received a quote from them in December of 2010 to ship a car that I purchased from a dealership in Massachusetts to my residence in Altamonte Springs, FL, in the amount of $527.00. When I talked to a representative from Prestige Auto Shippers, he assured me that he would deliver the car by Christmas if I increased the price to $595.00. The transaction was that I would pay $195.00 down-payment and $400.00 on delivery of the vehicle. This transaction took place on December 16, 2010.

It is January 11 and I have yet to get my car shipped. Additionally, they told me that it would be an extra $200 on delivery of the vehicle. So, instead of paying $595.00, now I would be paying $795.00 which is the highest quote that I have received. I understand that this company is acting as a broker, which then, contacts truckers to ship the cars to locations. The problem that I have is that they promised me a price when the transaction took place, and that price was not honored. When I called them (repeatedly) after Christmas, I was finally able to get a hold of the original representative that sold me the service. He tells me that no shipper is willing to ship the car for $400, and that I would need to increase my price another $100. I was very unhappy with this and I told him that I wanted to cancel the service, and he said "Sure. But, you won't get back the down-payment of $195.00". So, although I was very unhappy, I reluctantly agreed on the phone to increase the price another $100 to $695.00. This call took place on the 26th of December.

When I called back to follow up, they told me that they found a shipper who would ship it for a final price of $795.00. When I wasn't agreeable to this, and I will admit that I was upset but never rude, he straight up said "Have a nice day. I'm not going to waste any more of my time." And people, I am keeping this clean. It was actually worse as they made a feeble attempt to strong-arm me with additional fees.

This type of business just comes across as very dishonest. They get the business from me for a cheap offer, and then keep increasing the price once they have my business. If you're not agreeable with the price, they will KEEP your money and simply walk away.

I post this in an effort to help other people make informed decisions. In the case that they are willing to reimburse me, I will also inform that. But, for now, stay away..
