Initially brokered with Cross Country, HUGE mistake.
After being advised by Cross Country to expedite the delivery on time,
reluctantly I increased the amount to ship my vehicle to ensure a timely, prompt delivery.
Of course, once my amount for shipping was increased, the vehicle was picked up almost immediately.
I was never contacted by Pioneer, I made all the calls, until the day before delivery.
Pioneer claims they were never informed that the vehicle needed to be in California on a specific date, therefore, not being responsible for the ensured delivery time I paid for.
Eric with Pioneer was most apologetic and professional, however...
Pioneer was the company I paid in the end to transport my vehicle, and they had the ability to discount the final bill, and they chose not to, claiming the contract was with Cross Country, who were COMPLETELY USELESS.
I don't believe I was treated as a valued customer by either company.
Pioneer collected $1000, Cross Country $100 for brokering.
If Pioneer had offered any monetary discount, even $50.00, I would have been satisfied that they tried to do the right thing.
They chose the alternative, having an unhappy customer posting a legitimate complaint.

This customer brokered a deal with Cross Country to transport his 83' Mercedes from Somerset, MA to Bakersfield, CA. In turn, we were contacted by his broker to transport his car according to specified routes and times. In this case, the contract we received requested for pick up within 2 days of 06/05 and deliver within 2 days of 06/15. Which are reasonable time frames from Northeast to N. California. Mr. Jay K's car was picked up exactly on 06/05. We delivered on 06/16, honoring the contract given to us. The discount the customer requested was unwarranted. We did our job well within what was requested for us to do.
