DO NOT USE OCEN BLUE. My experience was completely unacceptable. On August 26. I signed a contract with Ocean Blue Auto Transport (same business address) with their employee James Anderson (if in fact that is his true name) to transport my EZGO golf cart from western NY to Colorado. I wanted it picked up on September 20, but agreed to be “Flexible” as to the exact date, so long as it was close to the 20th, I paid a $200 deposit with the remainder due upon delivery. On the 19th I called James and he said something to the effect of “You said that the date was flexible, will the 24th work? I said that it would be fine. He said that the truck would arrive sometime after 3 or 4 PM on the 24th. No truck on the 24th. I called mid morning on the 25th. James said that the driver had unexpectedly cancelled my pickup. He and I went back and forth over the rest of the day attempting to fix the problem. Unsuccessful. The best he could offer was another driver at twice the price. I declined, This failure has resulted in us having to unload the golf cart at a “give away price”. We’ve sold our home and are leaving the state on the 30th. Additionally, we are now unable to send a mounted fish to its new home. I was promised a return of my deposit today (the 26th), but hold NO hope of that happening. James Anderson signed a contract with me to provide a service he is unwilling to perform. Had I not fulfilled my end of the contract I would be subject to consequences. What are the consequences for their unwillingness to fulfill their end of the contract.? Don’t tell me that they are merely brokers who succeed or fail based upon the whims of independent drivers. They should be made to suck it up and comply with the contract even if they lose a few dollars. In my book, they are they are thieves.
