This company was assigned to me through Budget Van Lines. Oasis was late in picking up my Furniture. I had already moved to my final destination and had to arrange to fly back to WA for the pickup of my furniture. The company gave me a 1 week window. I arranged my flight based on that. OASIS was suppose to arrive at the tail end of the window allowing time to load the items in the truck. The truck showed up at 8:30 PM the night before we were to fly out. They said they would be back the next day and would be finished before we had to go to the Airport. The truck arrived in the morning 3/4 full and by the time we had to leave they had filled the truck with many items still remaining in the garage. I gave them the garage remote to finish packing while I was not there.... The packing of my furniture onto the truck was a nightmare. They were shoving very expensive furniture in every crevice to try to get everything to fit. I later found out that the company drove back to their HQ in NV and removed all my furniture and repacked it in a container. When the container showed up 18 days after I requested it, it was a mess. All the furniture was jammed together allowing for wood items to rub against each other. I had many items either broken or with gouges, wood rubs etc...
Another issue was with the estimation and actual weight. I had contracted for 13,500lbs and was paying by weight. I asked the driver to provide an empty weight ticket and a full weight ticket. He gave both which came out to be just under my estimated weight. However when I requested for delivery, OASIS stated I owed them an $927.00 for an Additional Weight of 2,060 Lbs. I asked why and they stated they re-weighed the truck after taking everything off and I was over the limit. I tried to explain I had validated weight tickets, but they threatened to hold my furniture until I paid the amount. The manager would not discuss it, was very rude and basically told me he was holding my stuff hostage. I paide the amount and my stuff showed up 18 days later, even though it moved by train and should have taken considerably less time.
I WOULD STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY DUE TO ITS SHODDY CUSTOMER SERVICE, PACKAING AND HIDEN COSTS. I WOULD ALSO QUESTION THE COMPANY CONTRACTING OUT FOR MOVING, SOMETHING I DID NOT DO.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
