We chose North American Auto Transport (NAAT) because they were the lowest bidder for transporting a car from San Antonio to Seattle. They told us the car would be picked up on Friday, which was 5 days from the date we first contacted them. It seemed too good to be true that they could move it that quickly...and it was. On Friday, no one contacted us, so we called the dealership to find out if the vehicle had been picked up. It hadn't, and no one had contacted them either. We called NAAT and they told us Sat or Sun at the latest. Nothing. We couldn't get a hold of anyone on the weekend, nor on Monday. Then Tuesday we got a hold of NAAT, and they said Wed, Thurs at the latest. Nothing. On Thursday, I demanded the phone number of the driver. I was given the wrong phone number by NAAT. After finally getting the right phone number the driver said he wasn't anywhere near Texas and wouldn't be for at least 5 days. We decided to cancel with NAAT and forfeit our deposit, rather than risk having the vehicle with a company that
a) Was very difficult to get a hold of after they got our deposit,
b) Did not have good contact with the company they brokered too (Gabriel Transport) and no willingness to own that relationship
c) Made zero effort to contact us regarding the status
d) Basically lied every step of the way.

I want to make it clear that we had realistic expectations about how long it should take, but we were extremely dissatisfied with the dishonesty of the company.
