Lying, cheating thieves - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

These guys are dishonest, incompetent and thier customer service is terrible. I'm seeing what I can do to get my $175 deposit back. I've put calls and emails in and heard nothing at all back. After nearly 2 weeks I still don't have my car and I've had to switch companies. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had in working with any company - period.

I submitted a request online for multiple quotes to move my BMW 530xi from Long Island to
Colorado I got a friendly call from these guys.

Cara who called said in her message that they were based on Long Island where the car was an thus it would be "no problem" to pick it up and move it out here to Denver in a flash.

She also said that as opposed to DAS and other companies that had given me quotes, North American doesn't leave cars sitting idle waiting for trucks. Cara specifically told me that they leave spots on their trucks open so that they can just get going and don't wait around for a full load like other carriers do.

The best part was how when I called on a Friday to move the date, the message never got to the transport firm. They showed up at 6 a.m. to pick the car up but it couldn't be released. The best part though was that the transport firm was totally different - not North American at all. It seems that North American is merely a "front" or a broker that bids out jobs to transport companies.

The best part was that the transport company isn't based on Long Island - but is based in New Jersey about 60 MILES AWAY!!

Tina and Cara and whoever I got said it would be "no problem" to pick up my car on Tuesday following the Monday event. When I called on Tuesday saying my car hadn't been picked up they said it would be Wednesday, 9/26. On Wednesday they said the transport company was coordinating with the person who I was getting the car from and would pick it up on Thursday - but they never did.

Finally I called the transport company and they said on a Thursday 9/27, it would be picked up on 10/1 and moved. It was picked up on 10/1, but the transport company I found out was going to wait yet another week to put it on an outbound truck for Colorado. TOTALLY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I WAS TOLD.

At this point and after checking out the transport company's less than stellar reviews I called a company in the area, 1stcallautohaul - and they got it straightened out.

I made numerous attempts before switching companies to contact North American - always got voicemail - always. They just flat out stopped returning my calls.

I'm now working to get my deposit back of $175 - they drafted from my checking account. I don't think these guys actually move any cars. They are such incompetent, lying idiots.

My biggest regret is that I didn't come to this site before i signed up with them. NORTH AMERICAN AUTO TRANSPORT are a bunch of dishonest idiots. Check out other reviews ont his site.
