Not a Great Experience ...

I decided to use Nex-Day because a) they do transport for a number of car dealers, and b) their Web site emphasizes their commitment to on-time delivery. In addition, they insure the vehicle while it is in their custody, i.e. they have some stake in ensuring that it is delivered in perfect condition. The Nex-Day people were friendly and arranging pickup was no problem. They picked up the car a day late due to the wildfires in Santa Barbara, which was not a problem. After that, things did not go so well. They had given me a delivery ETA of 5/21. I didn't even hear from the driver until 5/22; he complained of illness and was still several days away. Nex-Day seemed completely unaware of this until I brought it to their attention. My car eventually arrived several days late.

Although Nex-Day advertises their commitment to on-time delivery, I saw no extraordinary effort on their part to ensure that my car was delivered on time. Given that their prices seem somewhat higher than several of their competitors, and I have no evidence that they offer a higher level of service, I would not use them again.
