I Live in Vancouver, BC and I wanted to transport my recently purchased vehicle from Pennsylvania to Seattle, Washington. I chose Nation Wide Auto as they told me they had depots in all major and secondary cities. We arranged that they would pick up the vehicle the next day and I would pick up from their Seattle depot in 10-12 days. They would call me prior to arriving so I could take the day off work to pick it up. They sounded wonderful until they got my money. The charged me an additional 3% processing fee and they proceeded to sub contract the pick up to another carrier Motion Auto Carriers. The car wan't picked up for another 4 weeks. I kept phoning Nation Wide asking for updates and they promised to phone me back with updates but never did. I found out they sub contracted when Paulina from Motion Auto Carriers phoned me to let me know that car was ready to be picked up at their Portland Depot and I would be charged $20 for every day it stayed there. I told them that it needed to picked up in Seattle. They subcontracted to another guy with a truck to deliver it to me. It was deliverd late in the day and I was unable to get to the export office in time so I would have to stay over night and take the next day off work. To add insult to injury, the driver asks for $120 for storage and delivers my vehicle with a dead battery and a empty gas tank. He was going to leave me there stranded until I demanded he take me to the nearest gas station. A complete nightmare situation. Ultimately I hold Nation Wide responsible for the poor service because they were deceptive to me from the start and I did hire them not they other two companies involved. Stay away from sub contracters and stay away from Nation Wide Auto Transport. BAD NEWS!!!! KEEP AWAY!!!!
