We spoke with Jay at National Auto Transport on May 24th and asked if it was possible to have our daughter's car transported from Pittsburgh to Scottsdale, Arizona on May 24th or May 25th. Jay told us that he would try. We left Pittsburgh on scheduled flights on May 24th in the evening and our daughter stayed behind leaving Pittsburgh two days late on May 26th to give them time to pick up her car. We received a call from Jay saying now that the car would definitely be picked up on May 31st and possibly June 1st. We were then asked if we could leave the car with someone else in Pittsburgh and we found someone who reluctantly agreed to do this for us.Our daughter's car was not picked up until June 2nd at 8 p.m. We left messages with Customer Service Dept on Saturday June 4th; we also left messages with Jay but neither one returned our call. On June 6th we again called Jay and asked where our car was; he said he didnt know and there was no way of knowing; we "should just expect the car soon". We told Jay that we were disappointed that we were being charged more than the average ($1400) and we still did not have our car. He yelled on the phone and reluctantly passed us through to Customer Service, however, Customer Service was just as unprofessional as Jay. Customer Service Rep also started yelling. We asked him for a lesser price and he said "that's not going to happen". He insisted that if you do not pay $1400 your vehicle would not be picked up.We feel this is totally untrue. We also feel that in order to get our car tranported Jay told us what we wanted to hear.Once we left Pittsburgh we were at their mercy. From the time we spoke with Jay, May 24th, to the time our car was dropped off in Phoenix was a total of 16 days! Had we known this was the type of service they provide we would have gone with another company who were willing to do the transport for $300 less. National Auto Transport is a very dishonest and unprofessional company. Anyone looking for auto transport, DO NOT use this company!
