After Two Weeks of Not Getting the Car Shipped and a Proposed 65% Increase It Was Time To Say Goodbye

I was Originally quoted $850 which was about in the middle of the shipper's quotes. Then when I said okay the e-mail confirming the order had the price going up to $950. I called and e-mailed back asking why the price increased and we agreed that I would pay the original quoted price of $850 and it may take a few days longer to get the car shipped. Well, after many follow-up e-mails and calls over two weeks no shipment was scheduled. On day 14 after the order I then called and said the car had to be shipped in the next few days as the dealer from which I purchased the car was putting pressure on me to get the car out of its delivery preparation area. I got a call back saying the car would be picked up in two or three days but the cost was now $1,400. So, after 15 days I went with another shipper. I will not know the final result but clearly the experience with Nation Auto Transport was very disappointing. By the way, I have had five cars shipped in the last 10 years. Only one other time did I run into a situation where a shipper wanted to increase the price and it was only $100 increase on a $750 deal. I really do not understand how this transporter can function with this kind of service and cost increase.
