Careful of the words they use. Integrity and Honesty. Not so fast. My vehicle was delivered to an address which the driver asked to change last minute, in a seedy motel parking lot. That's not even the issue, but certainly weird none-the-less. Vehicle tire had low pressure. Driver said it was the cold air. Not being a savvy car person, I took him at his word. Over a period of a couple of weeks, i had to fill the same tire with air three times. Finally it went flat all the way. Turns out there had been a screw leaking the air out. AAA saved the day, then a tire shop patched it. Total cost $45. Total time lost, tons, but not worried about that. Mr Car Shipper, and all their self-glorifying videos about how great and honest they are, are masquerading for an unethical company. They wouldn't refund the $45. That's right, i said $45. These unbelievably cheap business folk apparently don't even carry a policy to cover FORTY FIVE measly dollars. All tires were great prior to pick up, and one ended up with a screw in it. Yet, they not only refuse to accept any liability, they attempted to have me call the shipper they used. (yes, these companies are all brokers), but i didn't pay that secondary company, or make arrangements with them. Mr Car Shipper has truly made an easy to remedy situation into a much bigger one.

Honesty, Integrity, Communication. These THREE values are the core of who we are at Mr. Car Shipper. This customer would have you believe we were not honest with him and are not now working with integrity in his situation. He doesn’t mention our third value, COMMUNICATION, but that one is especially important here because we told him exactly what to do in a damage situation, and he didn’t do it. Before we went to work finding him a carrier, he agreed to our terms which clearly state that all damage claims need to be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery. Knowing that some people won’t read the terms they agree to, we also put this information in an email AND in a Damage Claims PDF document we send to every customer before their vehicle is loaded. We COMMUNICATE this clearly multiple times. If you’re wondering, “Why the 24 hour rule?” it’s simple. All parties have to protect themselves against fraud. If used correctly, the system is designed to treat both carriers and customers fairly and protect both sides from fraudulent behavior. Here’s the situation. This customer has come to us now 2 weeks after his vehicle was delivered with a claim that our carrier is responsible for the screw in his tire. Okay, now think about it like this: Let’s say you rented a car and, two weeks after you return it to the rental company, they call you and tell you they just found a screw in the tire of the car you rented and they’re charging you to fix it. Would you pay? Or would you tell them they had a chance to inspect the car when you returned it and, having found no damage at that time, it’s now too late for them to charge you? We did deal with this customer honestly and with integrity. We communicated up-front the process for damage claims. It’s far too late for him to make this claim. If you’d like to know more about the no-nonsense way we do business, or about the considerable protections we put in place to protect our customers from fraud, please visit mrcarshipper.com/faq.
