I found Motor Movers because I was e-mailed by Alice through a website that said it would send me ten instant quotes. After that, I decided to do some research of my own that brought me to this website. I decided to go with them because they had so many great reviews.
The first conversation with Alice was very promising, she is very professional and helpful. I felt like I had nothing to worry about when I hung up the phone. She told me that she would call me back when she found a carrier that was going to be going threw Texas. That's when I realized that the company only found other transporters, but didn't do the actually driving themselves. I suppose that was my own misunderstanding.
A day passed and no call from Alice. This is my first time having to transport a vehicle, so it is safe to say I was a little nervous about the whole process and a little anxious about getting my car back to me (it broke down in the middle of Texas, I had to pay $780 to get it towed to San Antonio because I was half way in between El Paso and there and I did not want to back track. Long story short, we had to leave it at a shop in San Antonio and fly to Florida.) I left her a message but didn't get a call back. I never got a call back after that. I always had to call HER. It took a few days to find a carrier, which meant my car was vulnerable in the parking lot of the shop while it was closed for two days. Yikes!
But finally, success, she found a carrier for me and told me that it would be $40 more for some reason. Whatever, I just wanted my car. They then proceeded to take $189 out of my bank account. (I assume that it is the company's cut.) She told me that she would send me an e-mail with all the information about the carrier and such. I didn't get that e-mail. I called her telling her that I didn't receive the e-mail, I still do not have it! So, I have no idea what company transported my vehicle. And since I didn't get the e-mail, I had no idea how much I needed to pay the driver or if it needed to be in cash. Once again, I had to call Alice. She told me the remaining $381 need to be in cash. I crossed my fingers that it was the right amount and the driver wouldn't try to get more out of me. Thank god they didn't.
I got my car back safe and sound, and I guess that is all that matters.

Basically, what you need to take from this is that the job will get done BUT: you will not be kept up to date, do not expect them to call you first or back, and it will take a few days. I am not sure if I would use them again, honestly.

Alice Perry @ Motor Movers Auto Transport 480.428.1261 Brooklyn, Thank you for your input. I have to say that I am perplexed as to why during our conversations that your concerns were never shared with me person to person. I judge the success of my career partly based on giving optimal customer service. Part of that rubric is the timely delivery of a customer’s car and that I worked to get the best price for that customer. 1. Timely Delivery: The first available date for your car was June 28th- a carrier was assigned to pick your car up on July 2nd. Also, your car was being repaired at your mechanics so the carrier had to orchestrate his pickup time with the hours of your repair shop. As you noted in your narrative, I indicated that I would give you a call once a carrier was assigned to take your 2000 Pontiac Sunfire- I called you within the same minute that your car was dispatched. 2. Best Price: The quote that was given to you was $530.00. At times the carrier will counter and ask for more money. As you recall, Brooklyn, which was left out in your second the last paragraph, was that the broker fee originally was $230.00- You were charged a total of $189.00 for a broker fee, this is a difference of $41.00- so in reality the carrier was asking for an additional $81.00, however, I absorbed $41.00 of my money to get YOUR car shipped. Even though you only gave me a 3 star review – I am convinced that I gave you 5 star service. Yes, Motor Movers Auto Transport is a broker, and educational information was emailed to you so that you would be well informed about this industry. Your criticism of not be called back and always having to initiate a phone call is only partly true and the other part I will take to heart and use it as a platform to improve. However, to allude that we as brokers do not deserve a fair fee for all the hard work that we do on your behalf is offensive. I work very hard and diligent for all of my customers, as I am sure you do in your industry. Which is why I would never assume the position of questioning your paycheck, as you did mine. The best of everything to you- Alice
