Montway Sucks

My vehicle was damaged by a negligent and incompetent driver contracted by Montway to move my new car. The driver did not secure the car properly and the car rattled around in his substandard trailer for the entire trip from Texas to Colorado, becoming damaged to the tune of over $5K. What's more, the driver did not proactively address the damage, and I had to suss out what had happened myself. When I figured out what had happened, the driver tried to pay me off out of pocket to the tune of $100 for the damage. The driver had also piled the interior of this $100K Mercedes with rusty metal objects of some kind which rubbed through the upholstery during the trip. When I contacted Montway about this, they offered to be the intermediary between myself and the transporter, OdoTransport, LLC. This started a process whereby their "claims manager" would ignore emails, then request the same information she had already requested, then repeat the cycle. She was obviously sandbagging me, as she probably does for every claim that comes across her desk. After a month of this, I gave up and contacted OdoTransport's "insurer", who gave me the same endless runaround of lies and delay tactics, and proved to be just as scammy as Montway itself. I contacted the CEO of Montway out of frustration, and he blew me off completely. So as of now, I am left completely bereft of compensation for having my vehicle damaged in a documented, admitted, and provable way. Everyone responsible has ignored their responsibility and I have been ripped off completely. This company does not deserve your business, and if you give it to them, expect to be delayed and ignored if something bad happens. They do not vet their drivers, and their "covered transport" involves some guy dragging a beat up race car trailer out of his backyard to your house, loading up your brand new car, then stopping again to pick up some industrial equipment, and piling it into your car. Your car will then jump loose in the trailer and get scratched on every corner. If you like other people destroying your valuables, and then having to cover the damages yourself, by all means use Montway. Otherwise, run the other direction.

Montway's claim mediation services were offered, but no estimates were provided for us to facilitate resolution with the motor carrier. Additionally, the motor carrier's certificate of insurance was provided although it sounds as though no cargo claim was ever filed. Cargo claims need to be initiated by the vehicle owner as the claimant so we highly encourage you to follow through with the instructions we provided. Montway, as the 3rd party to the transaction, would not have control or access over the motor carrier's insurance processes. If you have any questions, please contact us at claims@montway.com.
