I would give Montway negative stars if possible. My car was damaged in transport and the truck driver admitted that he had taken pictures of the car before transport, and that the damage occurred on the truck. He provided me with a phone number to call to take care of the cost of repair, but the phone number that he provided is out of service. I called Montway and they initially claimed that damage is not their responsibility, because they farmed the vehicle hauling work to another company called Vehicle Transport Inc. Montway claimed that I must work through Vehicle Transport Inc to get the damage repaired. Vehicle Transport would not return my calls. I hired MONTWAY, they hired the other company. Montway should be responsible for paying for the damage to my car. It is irresponsible to pass me on to THEIR supplier to resolve the issue. I finally reached someone via chat on the Montway website and they asked for before and after pictures of the car. I sent them the pictures, and told them about the truck driver that admitted to the damage, and now they informed me that 30 days have passed since the damage was done, and they are no longer responsible for it. There is nothing about this 30-day time limit in their contract. Regardless, they have proven that if they damage your car, they will stick you with the repair bill. I strongly urge you to find another car transporter. I wonder how it is possible that Montway has such a high rating? Maybe they pay people to write good reviews.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear about the inconvenience. Damages are not an expected part of the shipping process, but they can happen. As a broker, we mitigate this risk with a dedicated compliance team and the most sophisticated carrier-vetting process in the industry. In the event they do, all exceptions should be marked on the Bill of Lading. We are here to help in any way possible, but we are also transparent in our services and our responsibilities as listed in our emails and website. By way of Federal law, under the Carmack Amendment to the Interstate Commerce Act, brokers are not liable for damage caused to a vehicle by a carrier. A broker is a person or an entity that, for compensation, arranges, or offers to arrange, for the transportation of property by a motor carrier. A broker does not transport the property and does not assume responsibility for the property. A claim for cargo loss and damage must be filed with the appropriate motor carrier. Please see our website for full details at: https://www.montway.com/terms-and-conditions Our dedicated claims team is here to help when issues do occur. But time is very important with claims and we provide clear guidelines on our website and emails. If you have informed our team of the issue, you should have received an email with detailed options and instructions. If you have any questions or concerns please respond to the email or email our team directly at claims@montway.com.
