Please please please stay away from Montway! I can not express how stressful it was. But I got quoted $1019 for a 1,212 mile shipping, just like many other shipping sites like Montway they actually don’t ship your cars. They are pretty much contractors who find drivers to deliver it! I’ve actually got quoted for $919 but apparently there system was faulty and gave them a wrong address but on my email it was correct! They tried to sway me to pay $100 more but I gladly declined. Then they contacted me 3 times in a row to try to tell me that I had put the wrong address in, and that’s why my rate was cheaper! But I stated that the email I received shows the correct address and I can forward it to them as proof if they’d like. But they just disregard that comment, and continue to make me feel like I was the one who messed up. Yes I was pretty riled up, I mean who wouldn’t be right? My cousin use to work for a auto shipping company and he told me that every company charges by the mile. So around .40-.50 cents a mile he says, some might be a little more but not by much. So 1,212X.50 = $606 possibly plus tax. So they are getting a payout of $413 which is a total rip off! Always ask how much they charge per mile! And don’t go through places like Montway! Look directly for a company that ships cars through which ever state your vehicle is located. They’ll be more honest and direct with a lot more knowledge on how much they charge per mile. Along with 12 point inspection, insurance warranties, time and date of pick up and drop off. With reassurance of notifications about your cars travel until it reaches your door. By the way, Montway has super horrible egos and super super bad customer service! So please please stay away from them, and other companies on par with them. Don’t be persuaded by these fake 5 star reviews, I fell for it just like you! Don’t make the same mistake. If you don’t believe me, I wish you good luck and have fun with the over priced quote! Pros: Quick to call and email about your service and ready to give you a quote like any other car shipping contractor business that’s out there to scam your hard earn money. Cons: Bad customer service, will call you countless of times to not fix the issue or resolve the issue professionally but to try to make you feel like you’re wrong and they are right. Try to scam you with a higher rate than what they quoted you for. They don’t know an exact date for pick up or drop off since they don’t actually deliver cars, although they claim to. They don’t really do a good job of answering questions, and there knowledge about things is rated from a 1.5/5.

I did an audit of this order and can confirm that you booked your shipment online via our website. So we are able to see exactly what you selected as the locations for your quote. We are also able to view the exact email that was sent out to you to confirm this. And we can confirm that you entered the initial locations. You spoke with our team and they updated the locations as you informed them the locations were incorrect. Due to this change in locations, there would be a price change as you have indicated here. While price per mile is a factor for shipments, it is not the only one. We understand that mistakes can happen and we do apologize for the frustration. But a change of locations does typically require a change of price per our agreed-upon terms.
