Horrible, bait and switch tactic, avoid Montway...

This isn't my first time shipping with them and they tried it last time too. They offered a rate to pick up a vehicle, now remind you I shipped the exact same truck at the beginning of the year for the same price. It took a long time to get picked up and they called twice trying to raise the price. Both times we declined and they eventually picked it up for what was agreed. They tried it again this time, but this time I didn't have the time to wait for their crap to end and they insisted the price had to raise, after we gave them a credit card and was told it would be picked up in 6 days time. Long story short, it's shady, most of them do it, so if you have to ship, call someone else, I used A1 Transport this time and the guy I talked to had my truck picked up for $400 less than what Montway said it had to be, in less than 12 hours, it was insanely quick.

Hello Matt, we're happy to hear that you were able to move your vehicle. Unfortunately, we're unable to confirm based on this review that the reviewer had an order with Montway. The industry dictates pricing, our job as a broker is to present all options to the customer. Because the goal is to get a carrier assigned to transport the vehicle as quickly and securely as possible. It is the customer’s decision to proceed with an option or not. Working at the quoted price is not an issue, we could and would continue to seek out a carrier. As stated in our terms and conditions accepted by our customers upon booking is that all dates are estimated. Meaning there is no time frame as to when or if a motor carrier will want to transport the vehicle at the customer’s preferred price.
