I did not know that Montway subs out their car transports and Golden Way Trucking the carrier for my car did not in my opinion do a professional job. The driver dropped off the car and drove it into my dim lit garage on 6/22/18 as the outside weather threatened rain. I went over the car however I missed the slight dings on the driver door and the two shallow dents on the lower front valance. You could take pictures of the car in the garage and these dings/dents would not show up if side lighting was not used. The driver did not note the aforementioned issues on the bill of lading and since they were not immediately visible in the garage I signed the bill of lading sans the dings/ dents being noted. Real sorry I tipped the driver. I noticed the valance dents several days later looking at the lower front end with a flashlight to see where most of the coolant had gone being the radiator looked dry. Also since the oil was dark and gritty the car remained where the transport driver had parked it until 8/3/18 the day my repair shop scheduled it for transport to their shop. On 8/3/18 a bright sunny day with the garage door open the repair shop guys examined the car and pointed out the slight driver door dings. Needless to say I was very upset. I notified Golden Way and they said they had pictures from the driver of the car in the garage showing no door dings. I explained why that would be the case as aforementioned but they did not accept the explanation additionally pointing out that I was making a claim past the 24 hr deadline. Again I explained why that was the case as aforementioned but the rep talked over me stating the guidelines. Apparently the adage that the customer is always right did not apply in my instance. I do not recommend using these outfits from my experience. In my circumstance the car's transport driver did not do a professional job marking the issues of the car on the bill of lading. Just noticed complaints by other customers using Golden Way Trucking on the Web.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, Mike. As our in-house claims team let you know, you reported the damage 6 weeks after delivery. This is a significant amount of time outside of the carrier's possession and unfortunately, it was not documented on the bill of lading. We do require for all issues to be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery but most importantly in order to hold the carrier liable for any damages they caused while transporting your vehicle, they must be noted on the bill of lading.
