My experience with Montway started a little bumpy, but ended well. There was initially some miscommunication with when they were to come get my car and we had to send the trucker back. But the second time, when that got resolved, went without issue. A couple of other things to know:
1. The estimate or quote you initially get may change depending upon the trucker you get and what they want to charge. Mine went up $75. Montway told me if I waited, they might have been able to get a trucker to do it at the initial "bulk" rate. But I had already waited and I need to have my car by a certain date, so I had to pay the additional cost.
2. I did not understand at first that they are brokers who contract with other truckers — which can translate into your car NOT being transported when you need it. In my situation, we were moving so I set a date a few days before we had to leave our state. But even though they had a months notice, they could not get a trucker in my time frame. I had to leave the car with a friend and the car came days later than I had hoped.
All that said, learning experiences aside, the transport went well, the trucker was very nice, and customer service was responsive to my concerns and questions. I would probably use them again.
