I went to these guy's website and a guy got on-line and started chatting with me. He quoted me for 1000 dollars. I got other offers for 1135 so I didn't think this was unreasonable. So I wait e-mail them a couple of times and they say they are working on it so 5 days later they call me with a trucker but it's going to be 1350. I tell the guy that's a big difference from 1000 dollars but I'm desperate now. It's 5 days into it and I didn't realize how this works. Your quote just get's put on a board and the truckers just choose the best quotes. If your quote is to low than they just skim over it unless they get desperate. Why not just be up front with me and say we can get it on the board for 1000 but it's probably going to sit there for a while and it's not a realistic quote or with a quote like that it might take a lot longer. Just be honest. However the Truck driver and company did good work. Truck was really dirty but what do you expect....

We thank you for sharing you experience with us. Please know your feedback is taken very seriously. We welcome any recommendations that help to improve the quality of our services for our customers. We are completely transparent with our policies of carrier assignment and estimated days. We estimate assigning a carrier within 1 to 5 business days of the first available date the vehicle is ready for pickup. Even though our estimations are highly accurate, just over 95%, we still inform customers we can only provide estimated dates. We want our customers to be clear on these terms so they can make any necessary personal arrangements. Our goal is to transport your vehicle, never to inconvenience our customers in any way. We would like to take the opportunity to explain that Montway did not raise the price for you. However, the carrier dispatched requested the additional fees as they had priced the available spot on their trailer higher than expected. That was only an optional offer, and if the customer did not want to go with this carrier, we would have declined their request and continue working on assigning a carrier for the original price. We always want to make the customer aware of all available options and it is the customer's choice to proceed with the final schedule. We do apologize for the inconvenience, and if you felt that Montway raised the price, in reality the carrier that collected the additional fees towards their costs. I hope this explanation makes it easier to understand how the auto transport industry works and to give you an example that, as a broker, we are fully dedicated to our customer and ensuring the customer gets the best service possible. If there is anything else we can assist the customer with please let us know as we would be glad to help.
