2 car deliverly from CA to NY

The delivery of our 2 cars was a day early on Sunday, which was great.The driver we worked with (Mitch) was straight forward and professional, though it was difficult to understand him particularly on the phone. The paper work on signing up the delivery said we would be contacted by the local driver 24 hours before pickup, which we did not receive. I called Mitch the day before and we figured out where to meet the next day, so that did work out. Also, the cars were delivered on a Sunday afternoon. They looked ok, though they were very dirty and covered with sand and salt chunks. The following Tuesday we found one of our cars to have a shattered back window. There were no signs of robbery as the window was still intact, but extremely brittle. It is my beleif the window was damaged in delivery, and the cold weather finally caused it to completely crack. If I ever ship my cars again, I will ask that the car be stored up high rather than low and close to the road.
