Misleading and VERY RUDE

Because so many others had given Montway such good reviews, I chose them with confidence to transport our family heirloom 1929 Ford Model A from Arizona to Washington State.

My experience started off fine, and i called to follow-up after booking online, just to confirm, since our elderly grandparents are nervous about this transportation. From the very first phone interaction, I had a bad feeling, as they started mentioning that because i wanted an enclosed truck, they might not be able to meet the previously mentioned window for pickup. Over and over I heard, 'well, our enclosed truck fleet is only 5% of our overall fleet, so it can take longer, but... it should be fine." Not very confidence-building! We were under a strict deadline to have the car picked up which i made very clear from the beginning. I was always told, 'oh yeah, it will be no problem." However, as the date neared, they still do not have a truck reserved for me, and when I started to get a bit frustrated, the customer service person (who said he was the supervisor) began yelling at me that I was unreasonable and that even though i had been told on the phone numerous times that it should be no problem to meet our deadline, i couldn't prove anything because it does not say anything about a guarantee on their website. So in other words, they promised via phone, but then retracted, and I had no proof!

By this point, I was quite upset, and the man on the phone told me I was too difficult to work with, cancelled my order right then adn there (without my request/permission!) and hung up on me!

Never in my life have I been treated so poorly and I would NEVER recommend Montway Auto to transport your car. I have since been able to find several other carriers who have treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism!

Good luck in your search, and again, especially if you require enclosed auto transport - do NOT choose Montway.

Well, there is a reason for the good reviews and it's simply because we do a good job. Yes, sometimes things are not working out in a perfect way, but that is absolutely normal. In the transport business there are many things we can't control such as weather, people, break downs etc ... In this specific case, we did NOT promise the customer anything particular dates and everyone can go on our website, get the price and see that we don't provide exact dates - it's an estimate. Anyhow, the customer was pushing us to meet a deadline and we've informed her several times that for enclosed transport sometimes it takes a little longer... To prevent further frustration for her and for us, we've canceled the order and refunded the deposit immediately. This is what an honest business would do and we certainly don't deserve the negative rating. Good luck and God bless America !!!
