On August 10th, 2022 I contacted Mercury after receiving a very competitive rate to move my car from Texas to California. Scott Howley (the broker) said he had many trucks ready to pickup my vehicle but I needed to submit a deposit of $125.00 immediately. I had a deadline to have this vehicle in California and Scott never contacted any trucking companies. I had to hire another company to move my car at a much higher rate.

Thanks for your feedback. The conversation yad described with Scott does not meet our standards. I will be speaking with him regarding this. If a carrier makes an offer on a shipment it is our job to communicate that to you. Sometimes, the offers can be lower as well as higher but they are usually very close to your original estimate. The carrier's offers consist of pickup/delivery eta's and their price. We only pass that offer/information on to you and you make the final decision. You do not have to accept any one particular offer. If the dates and or does not fit your needs we simply let those drivers know and keep looking for the next carrier that works better for you. This is something we work very hard to explain to every customer via email, website and phone. Any customer of ours we send a carrier offer that they do not accept, there is absolutely no charge. Mercury does not have any hidden fees and we do not get paid unless there is a carrier that you approve, is assigned and on their way to pick up your vehicle. If the carrier you choose does not load your vehicle within the time frame agreed in advance then you can cancel for a 100% full refund.
