Stay Away - Have to File a Police Report Due to Missing Vehicle

Mercury Auto Transport has been very communicative during the initial engagement process, however, once the deposit has been received, this is where things have turned from bad to worse. The company "sells" the fact that they screen their carriers, however, this is clearly not true as the carrier assigned to transport my vehicle (Lucky Strike Express Inc) has had documented horror stories all over the internet reviews. When the original date of delivery was missed due to the "transporter's vehicle breakdown," I was hoping that I would not be a part of one of those horror stories. Long story short, two delivery dates were now missed, Mercury cannot even get in contact with their transporter or even tell me where my vehicle is, and now Mercury Auto Transport has stopped responding to my emails and texts (personnel I was working with was Alex Miller from sales and June Carroll from fulfillment). I am forced to file a police report tomorrow morning due to my vehicle (2015 Mercedes Benz S550) being missing and report it as theft. Stay away from this company and pay a few dollars extra for a reputable broker. Email me at mariuszj@gmail.com to get additional details as to the situation.

Hi Mariusz, I am sorry to hear that there were delays with your carrier due to their truck breaking down, as well as for the inconvenience the delay has cause. It is one of the most common and unfortunate complaints in the shipping car business. While it doesn't go this way most of the time it’s one thing we really can’t control when it does. The FMCSA legally protects the licensed drivers/carriers for late shipments for up to 30 days from loading date and there is nothing we can do until then. It is certainly something we work on very hard to not have happen and when it does we implore these drivers/carriers to communicate with our customers as soon as possible. It is frustrating when carriers do not pick up their phones, and we try our best to get in touch with them when customers try to get in touch with them. We apologize that Lucky Strike Express has not been communicative, we have ensured that they are not to be hired by Mercury for future shipments again. If you have any other questions or concerns I would be more than happy to discuss this with you further.  Minta - Customer Service Manager 800-553-1828 Ext 71. minta@mercuryautotransport.com
