This was my first time using an auto transport service and it would have been a terrible experience if not for Jim Gozde and Mercury Auto Transport. Before I spoke to Jim, I spoke with several other brokers. I told them how I was moving out of state and needed my car transported. These other brokers were all lip service and no action. The broker I went with before Mercury totally botched the job. That broker's communication was just fine through the paying part, but it went into the toilet once I needed something done about the supposed transporter that never showed up. Apparently, it is difficult to find transporters to take jobs in my city. Not only that, the price I was quoted was making transporting my car less desirable. Because the broker was more interested in just signing me up with his agency than helping me, I had my time wasted, I was stuck with my car, and I was unable to move. After the botched job, I contacted Jim at Mercury. He got right down to brass tacks and gave the situation to me straight. He let me know what I needed to know to make my car desirable to transport (the right price range and nearest city). He found me a transporter within hours and he worked with my schedule to simply get it done. The transporter made good on the contract and the car was delivered safe and sound right up to my doorstep. He answered my text messages promptly, and he was a good guy. If you work with Jim at Mercury, ask for Cross Country Carriers. My driver's name was Gedde. I've read reviews where customers have been waiting months for their car to be transported. They must have a lip service broker. Thanks to Jim, that isn't me.
