MAKS Logistics accepted Central Dispatch car transport from NY to CA, with expected delivery within 2 days of 8/5. By 8/10, car was still not delivered and driver was not responsive on phone. Several calls later I learned car was delivered (not sure when) to Anaheim CA. Driver said car would have to come to San Diego on a different truck because his hauler was busy. (Note this is a distance of only 70 miles). Car apparently "sat" somewhere in Anaheim (so this man says) for nearly a week. After several more days and multiple excuses (too much traffic, no truck available, etc), I decided to go to Anaheim and find the car. Driver did meet me at Anaheim train station with the car. Car had been recently washed and inspection showed scratches to door jam which were not on the pick-up inspection report. Otherwise the car was ok, BUT THE CAR HAD 400 MORE MILES ON IT THAN THE DAY IT LEFT NY. Driver claimed the NY dealership must have driven the car, but what he didn't know is that we had an independent inspection of the car the day before it left, so the 400 miles were obviously post departure from NY. I paid the driver with cashiers check as he made it clear he wasn't giving me the key until I did. This man was arrogant, rude, non-responsive to my calls and texts and should not be dealing with car dealers or the public. I am convinced he (or someone else) drove the car around Orange County for several days before I finally went to get it.
