I am so upset I do not want to relive the nightmare I went through moving my vehicle from Portland, Oregon to Gainesville, Florida with Magic Carpet Auto Transport. I did all the research
and expected honesty, integrity, business ethics, professionalism (after all they were rated in the top 3 companies). The only resolution I received for my many transport issues was lack of communication and the excuse over and over again. "We do not guarantee pick up or delivery". There is too much that falls into the "it's their fault" between the broker company and the carrier/truck driver THEY SELECT. They do not want reviews on the transport/truck driver but they are the ones who supposedly have a good relationship and have done business successfully with them in the past. I did most of the calling that the broker should have done because it was taking to long to get answers and almost everytime the info was incorrect!
As long as you pay both parties and are okay getting your car whenever they want to get it to you at their convenience that doesn't cause them to spend more money, you'll be happy. They don't tell you up front to get your $30.00 rebate you have to read all the small print, write 200 characters of comments and not mention the transport/truck driver. It's crazy since this is where most of the problems are and no one takes responsibility for it! I WILL NEVER EVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH MAGIC CARPET AUTO TRANSPORT AGAIN AND RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT. I called Magic Carpet too many times to count and spoke with 3 people who did not help or resolve my issues. My car ended up in storage (which I had to pay for) and I never received a call that it was their or available for pick up in the first place. It was supposed to deliver to me directly at hotel. This company will not compensate you for your troubles or even apologize. I hope I've followed all the reqirements to receive my $30.00 rebate - at least that will cover the storage fee's. I'm not sure if I'm being compensated for my review but I'd say I was incentified with a $30.00 rebate.

Lauren, I am sorry that you were unhappy with the events of your transport. However, I would like to clarify the actual events that happened. Our carriers which were Advanced Car Carriers picked up your vehicle on May 7th. On a transport from Oregon to Florida it can take a driver an estimated 7-10 day for arrival. When the carrier met with you he notified you that there was a possibility he will arrive before the 18th. You released the vehicle to the driver at that time and we did not receive notice that this would be an issue until the next day. based on your request that the vehicle be delivered on May 18th or Later...they made arrangements for your vehicle to be held at their location until you arrived. The carriers agreed to charge you NO STORAGE for your vehicle and would deliver your vehicle after the 18th. The carriers and our office received an email from you demanding that the carriers go OFF ROUTE to deliver your vehicle 3 hours away from the original location because they would be arriving earlier than the 18th. Typically if there is an issue with the dates of transport (such as not arriving on time for delivery to meet the driver) the vehicle is not released at the pick up point until the date issue is resolved. Our representatives worked with you and the owner of this company to clarify the events and have your vehicle delivered within your request. according to the original order and any email communication there is no notations of there being a date restriction for delivery. The carriers did their best to accommodate you. Your vehicle was picked up and delivered in perfect condition within a reasonable time frame by a reputable carrier in the industry. And as you have received with every notification from our company a copy of our terms and conditions 7. MCAT does not agree to transport the vehicle on any particular motor carrier, nor in time for any particular event unless client agrees in writing to the extra cost involved with guaranteed pick-up or delivery times. MCAT will not be responsible for any loss or damage created by an unavoidable delay. MCAT provides you with an estimated pick up and estimated arrival date of your vehicle(s). However the carrier transporting the vehicle(s) is subject to delays due to weather, road conditions, mechanical problems, etc. There are absolutely no guarantees regarding delivery times and dates. MCAT and the carrier will not be held responsible for car rental fees or any accommodation fees. Magic Carpet Auto transport is very pleased to hear that your vehicle arrived safely and quickly to its destination, and are very pleased that our carriers went above and beyond to accommodate your requests as it is outside their requirements to do so. We wish you good luck. The Management Team
